On a Funny Note

I was reading one of my dad's books on HUMOROUS ILLUSTRATIONS and I came upon this story!

A mother is talking to a little neighbor boy.

" Hello there Timmy. How is your baby brother?"

Timmy responds,

"OK I guess. But he sure is loud when he is crying! Mommy says she got him from heaven. I guess that's why God gave him away!"

It was at the closing program of Vacation Bible school. All the children had been lined up front to sing the songs that they had learned that week. As fate would have it, the loudest four year old girl was placed right next to the microphone. The adults were amused as she belted out song after song at the top of her voice. But the entire congregation roared with laughter as they listened to her new lyrics of this old song.

Deep and wide, deep and wide,

There is a fat man floating deep and wide!

A little girl, scared because of the thunder and lightning, came into her parents bedroom one night. She asked " Mommy, I am scared"

Her mother replied " Go back to bed, God will be with you"

The little girl, pausing for a minute, said, "Mommy, why don't' you go sleep with GOD and I will sleep with Daddy!'
