Pointing To Christ

Maybe I am just different, but, when I see someone hurting, I can't help but feel the hurt. Watching the different ways they react to normal life, listening to the hurt in their voice, and seeing the grief that envelopes them just tears at my heart. I wish I could do something; I want to take the pain away. Yet, when it really comes down to it, the grief really is just life. God places things in people's paths to uplift them and to show Himself strong in their weakness. I could never do anything to relieve the pain, but, when I point them to Christ. God is the Great Comforter, the Shepherd, and the Giver of Life. Christ can do so much more than I could. I only can pray that through the trial they will look to Christ, and learn to trust Him.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

EXCERPT

I thought that some of you might like to read an excerpt from my book. I would love to give an overview of the book, but there are so many plot lines going throughout the book. I think that hopefully this will wet your appetite for the whole thing, which I hope to get published.

Lizzie walked over to look. The only thing that she could look at was the title of the document: Annulment of Marriage and Ted’s signature. This could not be true. Ted would never do this. Not the Ted who had stood by her fifteen years ago and vowed never to leave her nor forsake her. Not the Ted who had taken care of her every need. Not the Ted who would hold her tight when nothing seemed right. No, it could not be true. Her whole world seemed to spin, and she could feel tears flooding her eyes. As she looked at her hand, her diamond ring was a mystical dream, a dream that she feared would end in ruin, hurt, and heartache.

My Book

I have not been posting very much - but something else has been taking up my time. Writing a book takes time, and have only a little bit of that. Right now I am finished with the first draft, and I have started editing it, for the first time. There really is not any certain number of times that it takes to edit it. I hope that there will be more time that I will post, but I am not guaranteeing anything.
